The GENIE in-desk box provides an excellent solution for power and data communication requirements built directly into the work station.

The flush mounted, one size GENIE in desk box has been designed to accommodate up to but not exclusively to 4 power sockets and 4 data outlets, VGA and Audio (see out modular components)

The GENIE is designed with the ability to be fitted from the top of the desk or table by one person, negating the need to work under the desk. 

The unique locking arm system ensures that the GENIE is securely fitted to the table desk top by operating screws at each end of the GENIE. Each GENIE has a special recessed channel to the inside rim to funnel any minor spillages away from the current carrying parts.

The polycarbonate lid has two scalloped recesses, one at each end, to allow easy and free access for power and data cables.

A rewireable external earth terminal allows the removal/ change of earth bonding leads without dismantling the unit.

Soft Wiring (power)

Power wired to Wieland ST/GST connector allows starter cables to be changed to suit requirements, especially useful during moves and changes (CHURN)

Soft Wired Data

As well as soft-wired power, GENIE can accommodate soft wired data. Using our inline couplers, data cables can be changed “on-site” to accommodate changes in length often associated with churn. Simple on-site installation of pre-terminated data where branded connectivity required.

When installing the GENIE into a desk, make sure cut out is a neat fit. If cut out is too large, the in desk box will move. Packing between cut out sides may be required to provide a neat fit. A neat fit is recommended for correct operation of the GENIE.

A special adjuster is available on request which will allow the GENIE to be mounted in material as thin as 1mm. Although the GENIE is better flush mounted, it can also be surfaced mounted. Always measure the in desk box before commencing with cut out.
